The imperfection of which Mappe may be excused by that tyme: the knowledge of Cosmographie not then beyng entred among our Marchauntes, as nowe it is."

Vel incipiunt a posteriore lecundum Portugalenses versus occidentem, & terminantur in gradus 160. secundum Hispanos, vel 180. secundum Portugalenses. Et sic, licet insulae Tharsis & Ophir videntur attingere. Portugalenses, tamen insule Capo verde dictae, quae intra supradicta signa cadunt, vidërur omittere. Et sic dum insulas Capoverde retinere volunt Portugalenses, isles Tharsis & Ossir non possunt attingere."
